Tulbagh Mountain Vineyards "Theta"

 Our signature wine made exclusively from the best grapes grown on our farm. It is the standard bearer for our venture and will only  be released in exceptionally good vintages. It is balanced and elegant with a distinct aromatic nose, displaying great character and lasting complexity. The blend may be different each year,  but it will be of consistent character, reflect the unique environment and be of the highest quality, reflecting the uncompromising attention to detail that we have employed throughout. 

 

   
   

Tulbagh Mountain Vineyards  "Syrah/Mourvedre" 

Also made exclusively from grapes grown on the farm. The Syrah provides a deep rich character which is complemented by the aromatic Mourvedre. The wine is elegant and leans to being richer and more powerful than Theta.

Tulbagh Mountain Vineyards  "The Raptor Post" 

This wine is a blend of Estate grown Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Mourvedre.  The wine is lighter in style and exhibits a purity of fruit with earthy minerality.  With no new oak used The Raptor Post is a true expression of our terroir.

TMV "Swartland Syrah"

This wine truly reflects the heat and earth of the Swartland region.  The nose is spicy, leathery, and flinty. It is serious and classy, with a  restrained masculine character. Racking was kept to a bare minimum to bring this out.

 

   
 

 

 

TMV "Viktoria"

This sexy, feminine Syrah based blend is all about freshness, spice and attraction.  The appearance is youthful ruby red with a seductive nose  The Cabernet comes through on the finish, with super fine tannins adding a strength which lingers on the palate.

   
 

 

TMV "White"

Deep lemon-straw colour. 

The palate is full, rich and has a core of creamy white pear, with a spicy, clove-like finish that returns to the fresh mineral character of the nose. Best served at 10 to 12 °C, and best decanted in the first 3 years after bottling.

   
   

TMV "VIN PI" 

Golden straw colour. Viscous appearance.

Complex, enticing nose of dried peaches, apricots, apples, almonds, marzipan, honey, marmalade… Dizzying mouthfeel, balanced with a super fresh finish. Not cloying, but very long finish of dried apricots. Intoxicating.

   
    "One Off Cuvees"

TMV "Syrah Cabernet Sauvignon 2004"

This wine has a juicy full mouth-feel.  The Syrah brings freshness and vitality on the nose while the tannic grip of the Cabernet makes it super long on the aftertaste. The excellent oak integration shows well on the palate - fact sheet here vintage 2004

TMV "Mourvedre Cinsault 2006"

This perfumed blend has a rich, yet youthful ruby appearance, with a nose that is packed with a strongly earthy character, backed by loads of enticing spice and fruit. The palate is fresh, velvety, and finishes slightly tight - fact sheet here         vintage 2006
